Forgive |

to Love |
|
| The Words and Prayer that helped
me to love God |
| God created human beings like himself to live with
him. In the beginning the Devil told all the lies about God to Eve
and kept her away from God. |
| But in the beginning itself God promised that he would
send his son Jesus Christ and through him he will destroy the lies
of the Devil. |
| 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ came into this world and
destroyed all the lies told by the Devil about God and God’s
blessings through his life, crucification and resurrection. |
| 2000 years ago, God send the Holy Spirit, the Helper,
to help the human race to live with the knowledge of a loving God. |
| I told Jesus, in 2009 my happiness is still controlled
by money, power, and social acceptance or in short, by the Devil. |
| Then Jesus took me to Luke 10:38. As Jesus and his
disciples went on their way, he came to a village where a woman named
Martha welcomed him in her home. She had a sister named Mary, who
sat down at the feet of the Lord and listened to his teaching. Martha
was upset over all the work she had to do, so she came and said, “Lord,
don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work
by myself? Tell her to come and help me!” |
| The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha! You are
worried and troubled over so many things, but just one is needed.
Mary has chosen the right thing and it will not be taken away from
her.” |
| When Jesus shows me this word, I replied that my situation
is similar to Martha’s. The Lord wants me to be like Mary, he
never wanted my mind to be controlled by my problems and failures.
He wants me to stand above my problems and failures. He never wants
me to be the slave of the situation. Jesus wants me to live with God. |
| After this Jesus took me to Mark 5:24. Then Jesus started
off with him. So many people were going along with Jesus that they
were crowding him from every side. |
| There was a woman who had suffered terribly from severe
bleeding for 12 years, even though she had been treated by many doctors.
She had spent all her money, but instead of getting better she got
worst all the time. She had heard about Jesus, so she came in the
crowd behind him, saying to herself “if I just touch his clothes,
I will get well.” |
| She touched his cloak and her bleeding stopped at once;
and she had the feeling inside herself that she was healed of her
trouble. At once Jesus knew that power had gone out of him, so he
turned round in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” |
| His disciples answered, “You see how the people
are crowding you; why do you ask who touched you?” |
| But Jesus kept looking round to see who had done it.
The woman realized what had happened to her, so she came, trembling
with fear, knelt at his feet, and told him the whole truth. Jesus
said to her, “My daughter, your faith has made you well. Go
in peace, and be healed of your trouble.” |
| Jesus through this word and his life made it clear
that, what I have to work for is to receive the Helper, the Holy Spirit.
Because when the woman received the Holy Spirit or the power, she
was healed. |
| The Lord at this stage of my life revealed that the
Holy Spirit means the Almighty God himself. |
| From our childhood we use to pray like this, “In
the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” |
| In John 1, it is written, “Before the world was
created, the Word already existed; he was with God, and he was the
same as God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through
him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without
him. The Word was the source of life.” |
| And in John 1:14 it is written “The Word became
a human being and, full of grace and truth, and lived among us. We
saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only
son.” |
| When Jesus revealed this Word, from my heart I started
to believe that Jesus is God. Jesus is the human nature of God. |
| In John 14:26 it is written “ The Helper, the
Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you
everything and make you remember all that I have told you.”
And in John 16:8 the word says, “And when he comes, he will
prove to the people of the world that they are wrong about sin and
about what is right and about God’s judgment.” And Jesus
said God is spirit. |
| Through these words about the Helper, Jesus made it
clear that the Holy Spirit means a person and that person is God himself.
Because the Holy Spirit is teaching us God’s word and revealing
God in our spirit, the Holy Spirit is the Spiritual nature of God. |
| Jesus explained that none can teach my spirit about
God, only God himself can do that. |
| At this stage of my life
I bend down on my knees seeing a God waiting at my door step and knocking
at my door for my permission to enter into my spirit. |
| That is why Jesus pleaded with his disciples before
he was taken up to the Heaven that they should pray for the Holy Spirit.
(Acts 1:4) And when they came together, he gave them this order: “Do
not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift
my Father promised. John baptized with water, but in a few days you
will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Then Jesus took me to
Revelation 3:20 “Listen! I stand at the door and knock; if anyone
hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his house and
eat with him, and he will eat with me.” |
| Here Jesus showed me a God who is waiting at the door
step of my spirit and waiting for my permission to enter into my spirit. |
| At this stage of my life I bend down on my knees seeing
a God waiting at my door step and knocking at my door for my permission
to enter into my spirit. |
| Then I asked Jesus, “how can I open my door and
listen to your voice?” |
| Then he took me to Luke 11:5. And Jesus said to his
disciples, “Suppose one of you should go to a friend’s
house at mid-night and say to him, ‘Friend, let me borrow three
loaves of bread. A friend of mine who is on a journey has just come
to my house, and I haven’t got any food for him! And suppose
your friend should answer from inside. ‘Don’t bother me!
The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t
get up and give you anything.’ Well, what then? I tell you that
even if he will not get up and give you the bread because you are
his friend, yet he will get up and give you everything you need because
you are not ashamed to keep on asking.” |
| Through this word Jesus explained to me that, just
because of friendship no one will give his friend anything and everything.
A friend gives only when the needy person is not ashamed to keep on
asking. |
| And Jesus continued in Luke 11:9. “And so I say
to you: Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock,
and the door will be opened to you. For every one who asks will receive,
and he who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to any one
who knocks. Would any of you who are fathers give your son a snake
when he asks for fish? Or would you give him a scorpion when he asks
for an egg? Bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your
children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the
Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” |
| Through this word Jesus explained, for God good things
means the Holy Spirit. The Lord made it clear that God will give the
Holy Spirit to the person who thirsts and hungers for the Holy Spirit.
And in this word Jesus explained that what I have to ask and seek
from God is his best gift— the Holy Spirit. |
| Again Jesus took me to Mathew 12:31 “And so I
tell you that people can be forgiven any sin and any evil thing they
say; but whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will not
be forgiven. |
| Anyone who says something against the Son of Man can
be forgiven; but whoever says something against the Holy Spirit will
not be forgiven – now or ever.” |
| Through this word Jesus explained that if I am saying
anything against the Holy Spirit, then what I am actually saying is
that, I don’t need God. |
| I asked Jesus how I can receive God or the Holy Spirit
into my spirit. I asked Jesus how I can live with God instead of living
with money and power. |
| Then Jesus told me to pray for the people who distance
us from God and make us live with the attractions of money and power.
Jesus showed me this prayer. |
|
We are praying for the people who have
given us the wrong knowledge about God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy
Spirit and keeping us away from God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. |
|
We thank God for revealing the truth about God, Jesus
Christ and about the Holy Spirit into their spirit with the help of
the Helper, the Holy Spirit. |
|
We thank God for, their spirit worshiping the loving
God with the power of God’s spirit. |
|
We thank God for helping them love God with all their
heart, with all their mind, with all their strength and with all their
spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit. |
| Our father in heaven: |
| May your Kingdom come; |
| May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
| Give us today the food we need. |
| Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the
wrongs that others have done to us. |
| Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from
the Evil One. |
| Amen! |
| |
| If I am not able to forgive the people who kept us
away from God, then I won’t be able to get the protection of
God from the Evil One. Because, when I am standing with the Devil’s
knowledge, then God can never protect me from the Evil One. |
| When the Holy Spirit reveals the truth about God, Jesus
Christ and about the Holy Spirit, then my spirit is free. Only then
my spirit is free to love God, love myself and others. |
| That is why Jesus said in John 8:32 “You will
know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Only the Truth
will help me to live with God. |
| From my childhood, Holy Communion was a mystery. Even
though I attend the Holy Communion by saying the prayer, still I was
not able to participate in the Holy Communion. |
| Once I asked our Parish Vicar, Father Mani Puthiyedom
about the Holy Communion, he told me it’s a prayer of Celebration
and Thanksgiving. And that’s exactly what the Catechism of the
Catholic Church says about the Holy Communion. |
Jesus showed me that the Holy Communion is a prayer
of thanksgiving and celebration. Holy Communion is a celebration,
because 2000 years ago Jesus Christ destroyed the lies told by the
Devil about God and other things. It’s a prayer of thanksgiving
because God has revealed the truth about himself to the spirit of
the people
who are thirsty for the Holy Spirit. |
| At this stage of my life Jesus helped me to pray like
this, “we thank God in the name of Jesus Christ, for the spirit
of the whole human race starting from Adam and Eve receiving the Holy
Spirit, that God himself is in their spirit.” |
| When my spirit receives God, then I will never thirst
for money, power and people’s acceptance. If I thirst for money,
power and people’s acceptance then it means my spirit has not
yet received God or the Holy Spirit. |
| Jesus explained to me that, only when my spirit receives
the truth about God, Jesus Christ and about the Holy Spirit, only
then can my spirit thank God and participate in the heavens celebrations.
Otherwise the Devil will never allow my spirit to thank God and participate
in the heavenly celebrations. |
| During my financial crisis, I thought my bankruptcy
was the greatest fall. But when I started to walk with Jesus Christ,
he showed me that my greatest fall is living with the Devil. At that
time I was not living with God. |
| If there was no financial problem in my life then I
would not have listened to Jesus. I don’t know how to thank
God, because God with the help of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit
showed me the real fall in me without hurting me. The God shown by
Jesus is so loving and humble that I am not in a position to say anything.
This love and humility makes me say thanks in silence. |
| So I started chanting the prayer that my parents taught
me during my childhood. |
| Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy
Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world
without end. |
| Amen! |
