HOW JESUS TAUGHT ME TO FORGIVE

God's Righteousness
Through Jesus Christ’s life, crucifixion and resurrection, he showed me God values man more than anything else. Jesus loves a person, not by looking at his money or power or social acceptance. Jesus loves the kids, lepers, women caught for adultery, Zacchaeus and his disciples in the same wave length. If God never valued human beings, Jesus after his resurrection would have criticized, cursed and punished his disciples and those who persecuted him.
Jesus destroyed the lie of the Devil that, God never loved man through his life, death, resurrection and through the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Through Jesus, God showed me that if I give up the knowledge given by the Devil, and receive the knowledge given by Jesus in my spirit and if I receive the life giving tree in my spirit then God will receive me whole heartedly.
That’s why in (Isaiah: 1:18) the Lord says, “Now, let’s settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool.”
When God is looking at me what matters for God is my sin (my misunderstanding about God) not my sins. The root cause for my sins is my misunderstanding about God. If I am able to overcome my misunderstanding about God (with the help of Jesus), then God will help me to get rid of my sins with the help of the Holy Spirit.
People going through different types of problems are not supposed to see God through their problems but through Jesus Christ’s work.
Jesus showed me that if I believe that money and other material things are God’s blessings then I am not able to love God.
That is why Jesus said in Luke 18:24: Jesus saw that he was sad, and said, “How hard it is for rich people to enter the Kingdom of God! It is much harder for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.” If I believe money and other worldly possessions are God’s blessings then it is very painful for me to stop fasting and stop praying for money.
By praying for his disciples (who were going to reject him later) Jesus showed that, that is the nature of God (John 17:9-23).
When Jesus prayed on the cross for the people who persecuted him, then he was showing the world what is right for God. (Luke 23:34) Jesus said, “Forgive them, Father! They don’t know what they are doing.” Jesus showed that God’s righteousness is not punishing people who have made mistakes.
Through Mathew 5:44 Jesus explained how a person can become a son of God. “But now I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the sons of your Father in heaven.”
In Mathew 7:12 it is written “Do for others what you want them to do for you.” Through this word Jesus explained to me, if I have to receive the Holy Spirit, then I have to pray for others, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus showed that praying for others is God’s right.
Because of the word of Jesus “pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the sons of your Father in heaven.” I learned to pray for those who persecuted me by thanking, God for filling their Spirit with God’s Spirit.
The most harmful thing a person can do against another person (or the toughest persecution against another person), is tell lies told by the Devil about God to another person. That will make him move away from God and love the gifts of the world (money, power, social acceptance and other worldly desires).
Because of this reason I started to pray for the people who taught me God is a punishing God and for the people who taught me that worldly matters are God’s blessings. I thanked God for filling their Spirit with God’s best gift the Holy Spirit.
Then Jesus showed me in John 15:1-4 “I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener. He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, so that it will be clean and bear more fruit.”
Through this word Jesus made it clear that God through his spirit will clean the spirit of the people who accept Jesus’s knowledge about God, God’s blessings and about what is good, so as to bear more fruits in them.
When I started to pray for others and for the people who persecuted me, then Jesus showed me my mistakes and drawbacks and my faults. Then I started to pray for the people who were responsible for my faults. When I started pray for the people who had given me the wrong knowledge about what happened to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit taught me what really happened in the beginning. With the help of the Holy Spirit he rooted out my misunderstanding that God was punishing Adam and Eve, when they were sent out of the Garden and Jesus taught me that God loved them more when they were sent out.
When this belief started growing in my mind I was able to forgive the person, I was unable to forgive for years. This was not possible when I believed God punished Adam and Eve in the garden.
This is not at all my work. This is the work of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit within me. The full credit goes to my Lord, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus, My Lord.
