HOW JESUS TAUGHT ME TO FORGIVE

What God said to Adam?
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild, large and small.” So God created human beings, making them like himself. He created them, male and female, blessed them, and said, “Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds and all the wild animals.”
God who loved the human race told man in Genesis 2:16. “You may eat the fruit of any tree in the Garden, except the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad. You must not eat the fruit of that tree: if you do, you will die the same day.”
Only the Almighty God knows what is good and what is bad for man. What God says is good for man, shall be good and what God says is bad for man, shall be bad. If man wants to live a happy and peaceful life, then man will have to follow what God says. That’s why the loving God said, “you may eat the fruit of any tree in the Garden, except the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad.”
The knowledge given by the tree of knowledge is not the same as God’s knowledge. If Adam received the knowledge from the tree of knowledge then, Adam’s attitude will result in rejecting the Loving Almighty God, and unknowingly loving the Devil. Then Adam’s spirit dies and Adam’s spiritual relationship with God comes to an end. That’s why God said to “Adam, if you do, you will die the same day.”
To explain this I am sharing a message given by Father Michael Panachikkal. If I buy a car, to get the best result, I have to use the car according to what the manufacturer or the designer of the car says. For example if the company says I have to use petrol as a fuel then I have to use only petrol as a fuel. Because, only the manufacturer of the car knows how it is designed and how it works, and not anyone else.
In the same way only God knows what is good and what is bad for the human race. So Adam has to take what God says is good as good, and what God says is bad as bad. On the contrary if Adam lives according to the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad then, the happiness and peace of mind that God promised won’t be with Adam. From that moment onwards, Adam’s spiritual - relationship with God comes to an end and he won’t be able to control all the other creatures that God has created for the human beings.
That is why Almighty God said to the Adam: “You must not eat the fruit of that tree: if you do, you will die the same day.”
